PERIPHERAL HEMMER
Currently operating in automobile plants across the globe, the original DV Automation electromechanical peripheral hemmer combines three stages of hemming (corner or feature lines, pre and final hemming) into a single tabletop machine, accompanied by peripheral clamping.
This ensures maximum quality: therefore potential damage or misalignment for transferring the part between various operations is minimised.
Features:
• Hemming modules use a patented combination of mechanical links to advance the pre and final hem beams in sequence or together to form a closed ring.
• The kinetics allow the 45° element to approach the panel flange at various angles according to different panel conditions.
• Final-hem beam approaches the hem surface vertically to ensure a first-class finish even with difficult panel configurations.
• Maintenance friendly, using compressed air and electricity sources, sealed-for-life bearings.
• Efficient sources guarantee repeatable part geometry and consistent trim lines.
• Standard AC motors require no adjustment and are easily replaced.
• The hemmer can either be sequenced from the main line PLC, or a control panel can be provided to incorporate a dedicated PLC with low-tech controls.
• To relocate, just pull the plug and move.

PERIPHERAL & INTEGRATED APERTURE HEMMER
The DV Automation machine works to the same principle as the DV Automation peripheral hemmer with all the unique benefits. However it is a new five stage hemming machine with integrated peripheral and aperture hemming in one single station. Cost benefits are estimated at a 15-20% saving on a two machine process with a reduction on throughput times.
Advantages:
• Low cost
• Less floor space required
• Reduced handling
• Better qualityAutomatic and manual tryout
• No transfer systems required
• Single geometric station |

APERTURE HEMMER
Suitable for window surrounds & sunroofs.
The development of this aperture three-stage electromechanical hemming machine was driven by a change in process of car body engineering, eliminating spot welds in favor of aperture hemming to produce a stronger section with a cosmetically improved product.
Features:
• 4 Side hemming in 1 machine
• Integrated hemming of corners
• Short cycle time
• Compact and efficient design |

BODYSIDE WHEELHOUSE HEMMER
Many OEM’s are now replacing welding with hemming in the wheelhouse area to eliminate problems with corrosion.
The above pictures shows a two-stage hemming machine hemming the rear wheelhouse of body side parts and was especially designed for Renault.
This particular hemmer was so successful that DV Automation has already received 10 repeat orders. |

PRE-BENDING STATION
If parts have excessive flange angles it may be necessary to pre-bend the flange prior to hemming. This compact designed Pre-Hem station can pre-bend the flange to the desired angle.
Features:
• Pre-Bending of flanges
• Integrated hemming of corners, styling features etc.
• Short cycle time
• Compact and efficient design |

FENDER HEMMER
The machine pictured is a stand alone machine that was specially designed for Land Rover to hem the rear edge of an aluminium fender This job was previously carried out by hand. The use of this purpose built machine has saved the customer time, labour and costs. |

MARRIAGE STATION
This station equipped with localized pre-hem cams (LPC) was designed to “marry” the inner and outer part together and to pre-hem styling features as well as any other difficult areas. After the pre hem operation the part is transferred to the main hemming station. |

|
WAISTLINE HEMMER
The unit itself is a standard, modular design that has a mechanical combination of links to carry out the pre and final hemming. This design has proven itself for hemming most common waistlines.
It can be easily designed into the standard external hemming station or used as a stand alone machine. |

SINGLE PILLAR HEMMER
The hemmer shown is a stand alone machine for hemming the single edge of a left hand & right-hand B-pillar part simultaneously. |
