| MAGNIFICENT SEVEN NEW ORDERS FOR DV AUTOMATION |
DV Automation, the specialist manufacturer of hemming closure systems and solutions for vehicle bodies, has secured more than £1 million worth of new orders from customers in Europe and South America.
The UK-based company has produced two systems for hemming left and right-hand wheel arches for the new Laguna Coupe variant at Renault’s production facility in Sandouville, France.

It is the latest order from Renault, who recently took delivery of four DVA electro-mechanical machines for hemming rear wheelhouses for the Laguna at the same French plant and for the Clio production line at Valladolid in Spain.
The DVA machines are specially designed to rapidly hem a vehicle wheel arch in a single, combined two-stage process which is completed within just 12 seconds.
DV Automation has also been chosen to supply a pair of electro-mechanical hemming machines to Magnetto, the global automotive metal forming supplier. The DVA pre-hem and table top hemming equipment will be used at its factory in Germany for the production of liftgates for the BMW 3 Series estate.
Magnetto has also installed a further three DVA table top hemming machines at its plant in Porto Real, Brazil, for hemming hoods, deck lids and liftgates for the new Peugeot 207.
“This latest series of orders was won because of the high-quality and reliability of DVA machines. They are extremely efficient and offer fast, effective solutions for a wide variety of vehicle body hemming applications,” commented Mark Schlanker, DV Automation’s business manager.
DVA is hoping to expand its business in the Far East after a successful visit to China’s major machine tool exhibition, CIMT. The company received a substantial number of enquiries from some of the country’s key automotive vehicle makers during the week-long event.
